Default headrest problems

I have a 2009 FX4 supercrew. I love the truck with the exception of the front seat headrests. I like to drive with the seat upright, not lounging like the kids do. The headrest pushes my head forward in this position.

Is there an older model year that does not push so far forward that will fit the current holes?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Get some 2010 headrests, they apparently changed the angle on them for this reason.

I read a similar concern an other forum. One of the members took the head rest out mounted it in a vise and bent the posts back a few degrees till it was more confortable. I personally don't have a problem with mine on my 09 Screw

This issue may be with respect to the drivers height and body proportion?

I am over 6'-4" with a longer torso and I have no negative issue at all; in fact, I found the headrest to be much more comfortable than my previous '04 F250 Screw. I do tilt my seat back one or two clicks from full upright as this is the most comfortable for me.

And yes, this was one of the minor mods on the new '10 model; therefore, if this is really an issue for some drivers, I would suggest just getting at least the one drivers side replaced with the updated version, although not sure of the cost of one of these.

Maybe the good guys at Ford HQ, do read this forum !!??

Again, for me this F150 is the most comfortable vehicle, I have ever owned, in all aspects and I am amazed at all the room in the interior of the cab.

I lift the headrest up to the top notch and it isn't as bad. I also have the seat leaned back a bit as well.

the 2010 headrest aren't as far forward as the 2007, I turned my 2007 around backwards and they were perfect, no one noticed. I just tried bending my 2010 headrest and I couldn't budge them the way I normally do, those headrest should have a ratchet in them so you can adjust. Nothing worse than 35,000 plus in a vehicle and it's not comfortable.

Recline the seat a couple of clicks.
