Default Headlight swap help needed

I have a chance to get some free HID headlights from a 2014. The guy is trading it in. The only thing is that I would have to put my halogens into it. I know there are wiring adapters for halogen to HID, is there anything for HID to Halogen? I have done wiring before and am not afraid to cut and splice wiring. Any help with wiring diagrams or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jim

I think a few have questioned about it but don't know if anyone has ever completed the swap. call retrofitsource and see if they have options. the only thing i can think of is buy a cheap HID kit for the halogen set you're putting on the truck trading in. unsure if it's as easy as that.

The HID lights use a 4 pin plug to the headlight, the halogen uses a 3 pin plug. The only difference is the 4th pin is for the shutter on the projector. The other 3 wires/pins are for: ground, low beam, and high beam and are the same for the 3 pin plug. You could try an auto parts store or even ford and see if you can just get the 3 pin plugs and swap the pins and wires to the new 3 pin plug and just leave the 4th pin out.

should be easy to do with a dmm or even a test light. once you have them figured out maybe look into something like this (just found it on a google search, probably can find them cheaper elsewhere):

I went from hid to led, it took a long time to get it right but after said and done it's simple you just have to leave the 1 wire that is a constant 12v out w when wiring the new headlights going from the 4 wire hid plug to the 3 wire h13 led

@Torgerson So I see that this is your first post. Pay attention to the dates when replying. You necro-bumped a 5-year dead thread.
