Default Headlight flicker

Coming home tonight I turned on the high beams for a few seconds then went back to dims. The headlights started flickering. When we got home I left them on so I could look closer. The right one was the one that was flickering. I'm definitely calling the dealership Monday morning and carrying it in. I have a 2014 XLT with the HID headlights. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks

My 14 Fx4 is doing the same thing, but it's the drivers side. It bugs the s#%t out of me! Called my dealership awhile back and told me to bring it in so they can get the number off it and order a new one. Probably doesn't help it has a 6' inch lift on it lol

The light is out at times now, so I guess it's the bulb. Surely that's still under warranty. I bought the truck on May 19th this year and it has HID lights. We have an appointment at the dealership in the morning.

Carried it to dealer today and they replaced the entire light assembly. If it had not been under warranty, it would have cost me $300. Now I have to get the 3M film put on the new headlight. Ugh......

I'm glad to hear that the dealer was able to take care of this concern, mac12. If you have any questions moving forward, please let me know; I'm happy to help!
