Default HBS 2 inch level

I had just got back to the house with a load of firewood and was unloading it when the wife came out with a box. Her insidious grin and tone of voice were dripping with sarcasm when she said "more truck parts just came." Sweet! I took the box and put it in the garage. When I finished unloading the wood, I immediately started the install. Between my Superduty and my 150, she is starting to get a little bit of an attitude, but she takes it well and treats me good, so I can't complain.

The install went pretty smooth. I started with the passenger side first and with supper thrown in, it took me close to two hours. The driver's side went real well and only took 45 minutes. I could do a whole install in about an hour and a half or less now.

I was kicking myself for not getting the 2 1/2 inch level because that is just how much rake I have. Now I am glad I went 2 because all said and done, I have 1/4 inch rake now...perfect.

Once I was done and got back to the house, the Mrs. said, "I suppose you're going to need new tires now?" LOL she's got me figured out.

Just about done with the mods now. I started with a homemade storage box under the back seat. It is made of plywood and I painted it with cheap bedliner paint. I removed the jack and used the hardware to bolt the box down to keep it from scooting around. Then I dropped in a Kobalt aluminum saddle box to keep all of my work gear organized. Next I added a 12k Badland winch using the Rough Country hidden mount. I like it a lot. A real clean winch install. Next was the HBS level. In the near future will be some 33 inch tires, probably some Cooper ST Maxx's or STTs. Last I figure on replacing the jump seat with either a homemade console or possibly a take out console.

I am rather enjoying this truck.

Nice!

It's never ending! I just put a deposit down for my new retrofit HIDs, I told the wife and she just rolled her eyes and asked "how much this time?"

No! Not 22s... LOL. Jk. Your truck to do what you want, just never been a fan of huge wheels on a truck. I like the looks & functionality of some tire sidewall unless its a car or 4x2 street truck...

Back In 07 I put some 20s & some 33x12.50 Toyo mt's on my new duramax just because I got a deal on the wheels, but always regretted the 20s...
