So I'm trying to program a second code using the my Ford touch/sync 3 method. I'm going through the steps using the factory code to gain access into the system, type in the new code and says new code programmed. But when I try outside it doesn't work. My friend had this exact same problem. We never found out the culprit because we did it the manual way outside and it worked. I use this feature all the time. Whole thing started 2 days ago when I thought my battery was dead and couldn't get in after work. Left my keys in my lunchbox thankfully. But the 1-2 button is now not working randomly which is why my factory code didn't work, and why I can't manually program a code outside. Im trying to avoid buying a new keypad at the moment. My seat sometimes acts up too like it won't find position 1 and have to relearn it. Wonder if its related. EEE is turned on but if I adjust the seat take the key out and put it back in it moves back to where I moved it to rather than to position 1. Sorry for the long story but I hope someone has insight on this.
