Default Having to boost to start

New to this forum and have been a life long ford owner. Currently I have a 2012 ford f150 FX4 with the V6 ecoboost. been having battery draining and had to boost start the truck more than once. Before I go through changing out alternator, does anyone else think it could be something else? Battery is 2yrs old

insufficient info I guess

how long is it sitting you have to jump start the truck?

These days a 2 year old battery is questionable.

personally I'd buy something so you can monitor the alternator output. You could also have the local auto parts place put their diagnostic equipment on the charging system. I feel like that can be a little hit or miss but would show any obvious issues.

lastly, there are threads on how to use a volt meter to check power consumption with the truck turned off to see if something is malfunctioning and causing excessive power drain

The truck is sitting either overnite or after 9hrs of work. This is the second battery it has happened to as well.

ok ya that's super quick. Id start with having them both tested in the vehicle. If those show fine probably time to look into draw testing which can be tedious but necessary
