Default Had to laugh at this Ford saleswoman....

On a whim (and since the rebates etc. are extraordinary right now) I decided to look at some 2014's while my 2012 was being serviced for a good sized transmission fluid leak:

A salesman walked out and asked me what I was interested in, told me they had over 100 trucks in stock and they were sure to have what I wanted. I specified that I wanted a 2014 White or Tan SCAB Lariat Plus Max Tow 6 and 1/2 foot bed EcoBoost. He got this vacant look on his face and told me that he would have to search their inventory and he would call me later at home. Although I thought this odd that they would blow a customer off the lot this way, I did drive around their lot to look at what they had in stock. Indeed, nothing matched my requirements.
About an hour later at home, we got a call from a woman saleslady who said that basically the first salesman didn't know anything about trucks, but she does, and she sells more trucks than any other person there.................well, OK.
She again asked what I wanted, and after I described the above again, she said she could not get that for me "because no one wants a truck like that, and that's why we don't have one in stock."
I thanked her for her time, and said that in that case, I was going to wait for a 2016 -- and she quickly corrected me rather rudely -- "You mean a 2015!" I explained that there was too much new on the next (2015) F 150 and that I'd rather wait for the second year of production. She then did at least offer to look around at other dealers to see if she could actually find what I wanted, but informed me again that she did not think that anyone would have one.
As of this afternoon, I've not heard back from her -- do you think that I will?

That is a pretty unusual truck 163" Lariat. Most of the 163's I have seen are XL/XLT work trucks.

Not that she was aware, but that truck doesn't exist. You couldn't even order it from Ford. You can't get a 163 on a Lariat. Hell, I want a 8ft bed on my SuperCrew. They do it on SuperDuty, I don't see why they can't on a 1/2 ton.

I don't want the 8 foot bed --- I should have been more clear in my original post (fixed it for ya'). I want the 6 and 1/2 foot bed.

Well if you told her long bed I can understand her response. When speaking of SCAB's long bed means 8'
