Guys with 2013 Supercrews
If you have a 2013 SuperCrew, would you please look at your side windows in the rear of the cab for me. Is the Carlite insignia on the inside of the glass or outside of the glass? The first pic below shows my drivers side rear window (insignia on the outside). The second pic below shows the passenger side rear window (insignia on the inside).
I'm asking because the only window that has the insignia on the outside of my truck has scratches all over it on the outside (some deep enough to feel w/ your fingernails). Thinking perhaps the original window was damaged at the factory and it was replaced with another window that either had scratches or it was damaged at re-install time. You can see date/time stamps on both pieces of glass. My truck was built on 10/9/12, the damaged piece of glass has a date stamp of 08/29/12 and the undamaged side has a date stamp of 09/11/12. Not sure if those dates reflect anything in general.
Something also noteworthy, my truck missed two ETA's. When I inquired of corporate Ford why it was still stitting on the ramp, they claimed it was on stop shipment as of 10-16-12 with no release date. It later shipped out 10/22/12 and they would not tell me why it was held. Maybe related, maybe not, who knows.
As it stands now corporate Ford is saying we did not damage it, go after the Jack Cooper Transport. My dealership did not detect the scratches when they accepted it. Now it's kind of a pissing match on who eats it. Long story short, just wanted to know if most SuperCrews have the Carelite insignia on the inside.
Thanks,
Alan

My 2013 Screw has it outside one the driver's side and inside on the passenger side. My guess is Ford uses the same part number window for both sides which would explain why it is outside on one side and inside on the other.
Hope this helps. Good observation by the way!
