Default grip coating for side steps?

anyone know of any type of grip coating that can be applied to the plastic step pads on side steps? been raining a bunch here lately, and i slipped off the side steps several times yesterday, and busted up my shin pretty good.

File a slip-n-fall lawsuit against Ford. Anyway, it would be nice to get something that is slip resistant on those plastic pads.

i would buy sticky-back grip tape like what you put on the surface of a skateboard. Can get it any local skate shops or order it off the internet.

Something like this would work for your application. only about $5.00 for an 8.5"x33" sheet that can be cut to size for you. Similar to like an 80-100 grit sandpaper and can get in a number of different colors or styles. Simple yet effective solution. Ive used it before for many non-skateboard related things...such as outdoor porch steps

I use my grip tape for my skate boards. In this application it would load up with dirt pretty quick and you would have to replace it. You should try a local RV shop, they have a rubberized grip for RV steps that is adhesive backed and won't load up with dirt so fast, plus its not as abrasive.

Why not get the stuff that's used for spray in bed liner or herculiner? It can cover te whole thing, last along time and provide grip while looking good?
