Default Grinding/creaking noise when turning

I'm getting a loud grinding noise/feeling when turning right. It's so loud people inside the house I pulled up to heard it. It sounds like an old door opening with grinding thrown in the mix. I'm pretty annoyed, as this isn't the first time it happened. It has been happening a lot more frequently. I am concerned it may also be related to my steering gear/rack issues. Anyone else having this issue?

sounds like an issue with the steering rack or you have a vac leak in the RF IWE(idk if the 09+ use the IWE setup)

My guess would be your steering rack also. A friend of mine has 2012 5.0, with a 1,000 miles, and they just replaced his steering rack. Do you have any type of lift?

So from what I've been reading lately, this new electric assist steering might be the new equivalent to the 6.0 power stroke. Ford is going to eat a lot of cash on it

I had this problem and took it in, they cut the inside wall some and it went away. So far so good on this. That i would say took care of this problem.
