Grille/running board color code
Anyone know the name or code for the dark grey FX4 grille and running boards?
I plastidipped my emblems and while it's better than the chrome, the whole thing black just isn't the right look for me. I'd like to paint the chrome parts black and the black plastic the dark gray that matches the grille/boards.

it may be Sterling Gray which the color code is UJ
the order guide just calls them grey but does specifically say Sterling Gray for the FX4 fender flares.

Steve, I thought the same thing. It's close, but the grille is slightly darker.

Here's a Raptor F150 badge. This is what I'd like to do with all three badges. On black these look great.

Then there's always the appearance package badges which match the red FX on the stickers.
Before all that I have one more thing I'm going to try. Clear plasti dip, which is said to give chrome a more polished aluminum look. I have my doubts on that, but we'll see.

Here is where I got my white platinum tricoat or code UG. It was pretty expensive but well worth it. I'm pretty sure the more standard colors are cheaper.

Steve, looks like you could be correct afterall. Ford Accessories shows the boards as Sterling gray powdercoat. Perhaps it's the powder coating and lack of clear that gives it that darker look.
