Default Grille insert vs Surround

Hello, new to the F150 family and have been reading up on a lot of great stuff. Did a search for grille updates and could not find one in replacing a factory grill insert with another without replacing the frame part or surround part. I'm considering replacing my 6 bar standard black with a 3 bar chrome but want to keep the tuxedo black surround part if I can, similar to the one seen in this pic (I think it's a brown truck). While at the dealer I popped the hood on the oe in the pic and it looks like there are several tabs that go around the insert part to attach it to the surround, probably similar to my other brand truck that I used to own, but can't find the part for just the insert without the surround, and these things are costly for the entire thing (surround frame and all):

FoMoCo only sells the grill/surround as a package, not seperately.
If you find someone selling a grill seperately...make sure it is compatible with your grill surround. 2011-12 grills won't fit 2013-14 surrounds and vice versa. The only exception is the 2014 STX Sport grill will fit a 2010-2012 surround because the STX Sport grill is a 2010-12 Harley grill painted black. So that means that no other 2013-14 grill will fit the STX Sport grill surround. After doing a quick search and seeing that you have an STX Sport...that 2013-14 3 bar grill will not fit your tuxedo black grill surround.

You won't be able to re use your surround if the insert in your photo is what you want to switch to. Neither of the 6-bar styles (2012 fx4 insert and the 2014 stx sport insert) are compatible with the surround in that photo. So you will need to buy the complete assembly anyway.
