I am trying to pick the grille that I like fior my '10 Lariat, but what a maze of grilles out there. It can be stock Ford or would consider aftermarket. I want a painted surround with a chrome center.
I see grilles listed for sale as 6 bar, or 4X2 grille. They have no pics so I am lost.
Has there ever been a thread showing pics of all grilles? Are some grilles 1 piece and some 2 piece? Can I take a center out of a chrome grille and install it in a painted surround?

To preview the available OEM grilles grab a sales brochure and peruse ...The only one that is not a direct-fit is that of a Raptor.

That is a big help. Good to see them all together. So does anybody know if I can mix and match surrounds and centers? For example take a chrome center out of a Lariat grille and put it in a painted surround?

 

no, they dont come apart

 

You can swap FX4/FX2 and Harley grille inserts but that's all. Only problem Ford doesn't sell them separately. I bought a FX4 paintable surround and added a billet insert. Only problem is you have to cut out the center of the grille.

When you say FX4.... does that mean any model 4X4?
And when you say FX2, .... any 2 wd ?

 

The FX4 and FX2 are specific models within the line up. They come with painted grilles w/ black insert, painted bumpers, fender flares and upgraded suspension. They are above the XLT/STX and below the Lariat. Just check the Ford sight to see all models, I think there's 8 different models

 

OK, I see them. I understrand. That 6 bar grille with the painted surround is my favorite
