Um sorry, I mean the first post of the sub box.
If you could post a picture of the sub under the seat that would be great, thanks in advance.

Happy Justi?

and to the original poster, where did you get the sub box from? I just ordered one from supercrewsound.com and it should be in pretty soon. its a single 12" enclosure and fits under the same seat you're talkin about

i got mine from the same place. no pix though. all you can see is the edge of the box at the edge of the seat. not only did i have to remove the jack and its handles, but i had to remove the plate that mounts to the floor also. i just moved the jack over to the passenger side and laid the handles on the floor. they are too long to put anywhere else. i have a large first aid kit under the passenger front seat, so that area is taken.

i ended up putting infinity 6832cf's in the front doors, left the rear doors stock (i will replace those as well, don't know why ford can't find a better speaker) and put a pioneer ts-sw251 in the sub enclosure. i installed a jbl gto504 (55 rms per channel). the front doors are amped as well as the bridged sub. let me tell ya, your **** definitely gets massaged now along with your back and everything else. i just wanted a clean sound and got much more. i had the amp installed in my 2005 stx and removed it prior to trade. i had pioneer 4-ways in all the doors in that truck with no sub. the setup i have now is so much better.

ford has got to do better. my chevy 3/4 ton work van has a better sound system than ford's stock system. as much as they charge for these trucks, they should at least be able to come up with a decent sounding music system.

also, a note: after upgrading my speakers, the sync (phone) is much better. before, i had to have the volume maxed out........not anymore. btw, gmsorge, i am just around the corner from you here in katy.

your setup sounds pretty sweet carryyourbooks. I also replaced my door speakers but i havent put a amp to them yet. thats my next thing and probably last thing i plan on doing to my sound system.

and right around the corner is kind of an understatement, lol katy is about a hour and fifteen minute drive from here. ha

don't know if you need it or not, but the guy who installed mine works for the same dealer that my brother works at as a mechanic. he passed me his contact info. he does all the "factory" work for a few ford dealers in the area (head units, amps, etc.) he installed everything for me for $150. i had all the cables, wiring from when the old amp was installed, so no material was needed. if you need his installation service, i told him i would be recommending him to others who sought professional installation. he actually lives in the pasadena area. pm me if you need his info.

The is my custom sub box I made.
this is me test fitting prior to carpet.

I didn't find a good place to put my jack either as I installed the amp on the other side.

With the MTX Thunderform in my truck I put the jack under the passenger side seat base, which fits perfectly between the seat base support brackets when put in at an angle. The cloth tool bag fits nicely on the rear lip of the cab under the seat. It's all nice and snug when the seat is down and still easy to get out. Plus there's also room to fit an air compressor under there as well.
