Goodyear DuraTrac on 2011 FX4?

Green Goodness
I have a set of 285/70R17 on my 2011 regular cab. They are tough as hell and not too loud. A bit of a nice hum, but no droning. I went with a D load range, but I wish I would have gone with C load since I have regular cab and rarely two. They are heavy, tough, and basically bullet proof. Have about 10k miles on them and you cant notice any wear on them.

I think goodyear only offers one version of the DuraTrac in 285/70R17
From the Goodyear website:
- 285/70R17
- Load Index 121 = 3197lbs per tire
- Speed Rating “Q” = 99mph
Goodyear doesn't list the load range ply rating on their website, I've seen that size referred to as both a D and an E... Are yours stamped load range D?

I was reading about the Duratracs on the Tundra forum and the concensus was that they felt squirmy & had poor emergency handling. Several of the guys actually traded them back in for Silent Armours and indicated the SA's were much better. Below are the construction details between Duratracs & AT KO's which may explain the handling differences:
The sidewall construction details:
Duratrac : 2 ply polyester
AT K/O: 3 ply polyester
Tread details:
Duratrac: 2 poly, 2 steel
AT K/O: 3 poly , 2 steel
The sidewall construction details:
Duratrac : 2 ply polyester
AT K/O: 3 ply polyester
Tread details:
Duratrac: 2 poly, 2 steel
AT K/O: 3 poly , 2 steel

I wouldn't assume that ply info is accurate in the 285/70-17 size.
In 285/80-17, it is a load range D with a 3,197 load rating per tire. DuraTrac's come in load range C, D, and E depending on the size.
I know that these are no longer the actual number of plies in the tire, but perhaps the C, D, and E rated duratrac's don't have the same number of "actual" plies either.
Can somebody who has these go look and see if the tire says how many plies? And be sure and list the size you are running?
The Love/Hate thing goes for the AT K/O as well. There is no shortage of folks on the internet who hate that tire, and tons who love it as well.

I have 33x12.5x15 Duratracs on my Bronco and they aren't squirmy at all. This is also my daily driver.
I don't recall seeing anything negative about them on the Bronco or F150 forums. Yota guys are funny.
Mine are:
Load Range C
2 ply sidewall - poly
4 ply tread - 2 poly/2steel

Report back from my brother-- he read the reviews about the squishiness of these tires ahead of time and was concerned about it, but he's been driving on the, for 30k+ miles and hasn't noticed even the slightest bit of squishiness or wandering. This is a 2009 F250 Crew Cab Longbed PSD 4x4 with a 4-6" lift and 325/65/20 DuraTracs.
