Default Glove compartment

Or should I say lack of glove compartment? I've never seen a glove compartment so small. My BMW glove compartment is at least twice a big. I was planning to carry a pistol in there but I don't think there is room. There is a serious lack of storage. Anyone have suggestions?

I've got the non flow thru console and I think that is like a cavern. Anything the glove compartment lacks it really makes up for. In fact ford makes a special gun safe for the center console. I'm going to get it to carry my gun.

I have the dumb jumpseat with no compartment or even cupholders. Horrible design.

Not only is it small, I noticed today it doesn't lock. I normally keep mine in the map pocket on the passage seat, or in my little storage bin under the middle seat. The holsters that mount under the steering colum has caught my eye

I think I'm going to have to remove the jump seat and put in a center console.

Suggestions?

My glove box and center console lock. I agree the glove box is really small. It lives up to its name, could fit gloves there though.

if you do a search here you will find discussions on that. There are lots of guys here who have taken out the jump seat and put a console in. Indoor think it's really that hard at all. Just a matter of finding the right color combo for your truck.

What year is your truck? My jump seat has 2 cupholders up top, and 2 at the floor that pull out. A lid with a small amount of storage on the top, and underneath the bottom seat cushion lifts up for more storage. Neither are cavernous but it fits my stuff.

It's a 2014 XL Supercrew. The jumps seat does not have any compartments or storage.
