How much did your shop charge to install?
I got a quote today for $821.00 parts, labor, OTD. My shop charged 2.5 hours labor @ $88.00/hour (obviously not a ford dealer at this price) for a total of $220. Total investment to date....$480.00. Plus I still need an alignment that has been quoted at $80.00. |

So how much did the 1.5" setting lift the front end?

Bilstein's website has average measurements of the 5 perch positions as follows:
Normal .65" 1.30" 2.0" 2.5" I went with 1.30" and it's fine, but would be curious to see yours. It looks like it's going to be either 1.3" or 2.0" on these struts. Additionally, if you post pics, would you get an image of the upper control arm with the wheel pointing outboard from the wheelwell? Thanks. |
Thanks for the images
Until yesterday, I hadn't noticed that the 4x4s and 4x2s had different 5100 shock settings. I guess your shocks on the 4x4 have 4 settings, and the Bilsteins on my 4x2 have 5 settings.
In reference to the UCA/ball joint angle, yours looks fine. Some who went all the way up have a pretty steep angle, and limited range of motion. Truck looks good! |

Truck looks good! Yeah, The whole ball joint issue was considered in my decision to go with the lower setting. I didn't have a problem with buying new UCA's (about $700 +shipping + 200 install) but then I would have to buy new rims with the proper backspacing, and then new tires (figure another $1800)....It would have turned a 3" lift into about $3300, and I just wasn't going to be happy doing that. |
I purchased from 4WheelParts. 90 each for fronts, 80 each for rears, 90 for rear blocks, 160 for all installation, 115 for alignment.
This was for 4x2 Ecoboost. The lower weight of Eco engine made front higher than rear w 1.25" block added using 5th notch. This appeared to raise front end about 3 1/2+ inches. Lowered to 4th notch and truck looks pretty level. |
Traildust... Any pictures. I have a 4x2 also and thinking of going with your same set up?

I'm trying to find a place to order all 4 for 2011 2wd SCrew with eco engine. Keep finding 2 different part numbers. Fronts 24-187466 and then F4-BE5-G738-HO? Rears .. F4-BE5-G739-HO Any ideas? Any recommendations of place to purchase from and correct order numbers for front and rear are appreciated.
