What's the advantage. I have my music on my iphone in a "Truck Playlist" and it connects via Bluetooth... I always have my phone w me when I'm in my truck and it goes w me when I leave the vehichle.

It's also just a little more convenient.

If you have a playlist, put the same playlist on a USB drive. Using your phone for playing back music will drain your phone battery. Also the USB drive will start playing (if that is what was playing last) as soon as the truck is started, just the same as the radio or a CD.

Yes, I meant usb drive: i bought this one:

I did what you said rdkev originally as I thought that's how it was done, but I get the error message.
I do have folders that show up within the drive, are all the songs supposed to be in the root?

I have all of my music on this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/SanDisk+...3#tab=overview
It was only $12 for the 16GB on sale and is almost invisible in the USB port at the bottom of the IP. Works great and music kicks on immediately every time I turn the key. All of my itunes music transferred just fine and voice controls still work to control the play options (shuffle/artist/etc). Eventually, I'll do the USB2 mod so I have the front USB freed up to charge my phone, or my wife's.
I had all kinds of problems with my ipod touch. Several times per week, there would be no sound, even though the album and track were displayed. I'd have to reboot the ipod every time to get the sound working again, then go through the menus on the radio to get it back to seeing the ipod. When it did work, there was a huge delay before playing. Only thing I miss is the built in EQ. The stock radio only has the basic bass/treble controls. Although, not as much of an issue with the aftermarket subs/amps/speakers.

sync wont play itunes muisc.
I have tried to get music to play off a usb thumb drive but cannot get it to work in my truck. The truck says does not support playback of copyrighted material. All the music is off Itunes. I know there is nothing wrong with the drive and yes it is a "fat 32 format" that I use on my corolla. It work fine with my car but I cannot get the f150 to play it. This same drive also works in my girlfriends equinox so I'm not really sure what I can do / change to get it to work in a 2013 f150 fx4. Im really at a loss as I have posted this same exact problem before with no resolution.
