It's true, I did it to mine. I carefully cut around the bolts and it just popped right off.

Aerators are also great at removing bedliner. The edge of the tailgate and a couple spots of the bed nicked it. I also had a fridge that cut the one wheelwell, the guy repaired that one but it left a "scar"

I had my bed lined by a private shop. It wasn't Line-X or Rhino Liner, but was the same type of compound.
Anyway, as a previous post said they told me they couldn't get the bed bolts out, so they sprayed over them. I had already taken out the tie downs and my plastic bed liner to help with labor (really only took 15 mins). Haven't had any need to take the bed off, but they too assured me that if I ever needed to it would be as easy as taking a razor blade around the bed bolts and peeling the spray off.
