Default gauge wiring input help!

Ok guys I hate to do this, I very rarely have to post a topic but I can't seem to find a good answer for my problem. I have a 2010 screw 4x4 xlt
I am wiring in a new speedhut a/f ratio and boost gauge. Everything is ready to rock and functioning besides one thing. The hot wire for my gauge lights. I am either wanting them to dim with my factory gauges or just be simple and turn on and off automatically with my factory gauge lights. I have tested every fuse in the panel and convinced that there is no source of power there that will fit my needs.
Every fuse there is either hot all the time or hot with the key only on. I am looking for a circuit that is only hot when my factory lights automatically kick on.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?? These newer vehicles wiring is just plain crazy.

I just tapped into my parking light wire and ran a relay for the illumination circuit on my gauges works just fine not sure if this helps you or not.

Ive been thinking about getting one of those, guy here did the boost gauge. Pretty cool with the FX on it. Shows what wires he used and has a video of it working.

thanks that helps some, i really hate running relays if i have too, it looks like my only option is to tap splice into the 4x4 switch for the dash lights unless there is a magical fuse somewhere im not seeing for this.
I was also testing some wires on the back of my headlight switch harness and there was only one wire that would show power and dim like i wanted it to, what th heck do the rest of those wires do if there not hot?
