Default Gauge install

Can anyone here save me some time by telling me what wires to use to power illumination on a aftermarket gauge? Going to install a boost gauge and I was hoping not to have to track down the dash light feed

If your 2wd pull out the coin holder between the radio and steering column. There are 3 or 4 wires connected to the back for 4wd switch. One of those wires is on the dash illumination circuit that dims with the rest of the dash lights and should be a ground wire as well.

Yes, my truck is 2wd but I don't have a coin holder. I have the electronic locking axle control in that space.
