Garage door opener

For those of you that have a garage/w remote opener and do not have home link in your truck, where do you put your remote

Sunglass holder up top, velcro inside and on remote to keep it quiet

Added home link. pretty easy, cheap.

More info please (how much/where from)

Here is what I did. I wanted one with a code, as my truck is parked in the driveway and I did not want anyone breaking into the truck being able to easily opening the garage door. It is attached with velcro, works great!

While I did the homelink mod and it suits my needs to a T, THIS is very clever from a maximum security point of view.

i just press the button on the pad in the garage that locks out ALL transmitters from working.

Yeah, some have that option on their opener, I don't.
If I did have it, I'd probably forget it in the morning and have to get back in and activate the openers to be able to close the door, LOL. And then, that would also lock out my wife's transmitter when we go somewhere with her car. Either we could not use her transmitter - or mine in the truck would work with the truck in the driveway and us gone (her car is parked inside the garage with a homelink type transmitter).
So no, not good, even if I had that on the opener (which I don't, LOL).

The garage door remote gets clipped to the inside of the LH door panel map pocket.

Seems like a silly question - before we were married she rode in the truck bed, but now she rides in the passenger's seat!

I put mine in the sunglasses holder. Don't have the guts to cut into the visor.

I got mine a umbrella for Christmas.

I have the homelink but don't use it, I did when I first got the truck, but it has such a miserable range that I cleared it and went back to the regular garage door opener. I clip the garage door opener to the pass side visor, works great, can open the garage door from the bottom of the driveway instead of when I get to the door.
