FX4s too low, Pirelli Scorpions suck.
Hey everyone. Went out to Harrison lake this weekend and found this truck I got is too damn low. I high centered and dragged it over rocks to get to the camp I stayed at. No dents but definitely getting a lift. Being so long doesn't help me, I know.
Also one of my Pirelli tires blew out. These tires suck. The rims are too big as well I'm gonna swap to 17's.
End rant.

I think my stock truck sits too low. I may lift the front end just to level it out. Only way ill do that is if I dont loose my ride. I did that on my old truck and it turned into a lumber wagon.

The 20" rims are fine with 34's or 35's. But yes the Pirellis suck. They were only on my truck for one day after I bought it.

Lift the front 2-2.25" and throw on some 34-35" tires and it will make your truck sit up much higher than stock. Not 6" lift height, but it will help a good bit.

I hear ya on the Scorpions. I hate them, as they are better suited to 2WD street rides than all-terrain 4X4 trucks... I have 'em on my FX4 with 8k miles, and am chomping at the bit to put larger Nitto TGs on my stock argent 20s... It's tough to justify the expense though -- it's taken me 3.5yrs to put 8k miles on the truck, and unless I can find someone interested in like-new Scorps, it looks like I'll be several many years away from tire replacement.

Wow!!! I must have a better set of Pirelli Scorpions than the rest of you!!!
I don't do any off-roading, so maybe that's the difference. I do tow with it, and they do a great job when towing.
I have 25,000 miles on them now since new - about 5,000 of that towing my 6500 lb car-hauler trailer.
I just got back from a 2,500 mile trip (not towing) and the Scorpions are nice and quiet and give a very comfortable ride.
I don't notice any difference when towing - they give me a great ride with no sway.
Just MHO and experience! Overall I luv 'em!!

Yeah this was aggressive trail driving. As I said I high centered and dragged the underneath on rocks. I popped a tire granted that can happen with any tire. But these tires have to go and so does the stock height.
