Get a stick on film like 3m. They come in all kinds of patterrns. I did mine in carbon fiber and it looks factory. Do a search in the audio forum, you'll see pics of what I did.
You could also get it dipped similar to how gun sticks are dipped. I considered doing this myself but figured it only cost me $20 to do the film first. The film has now held up from 10 to 98 degrees no problem. Probably more like 120 degrees in the truck these days when sitting with the windows closed.
