Highsticks Eh!

Hey boys, bought some rubber mudflaps for my '12 FX4 and have no idea how to mount mudflaps as the new FX4's have a plastic coping flare around the outside of the wheel well. How do i bolt the flaps to the body if theres plastic and an inch gap between the flaps and the metal body??? anyone mounted flaps on their FX4???

Are the ones you got a universal flap or are they made to fit each specific vehicle? If they're universal you're on your own.

If they are made by Husky Liner or Weathertech then you should be able to order specifically for trucks with or without flares. They will fit perfectly if the correct part is ordered.

I bought the Weathertech ones for the FX4 without running boards even though I have them and they fit. The quality, fit and finish is excellent on them and they're relatively easy to install. Don't know which ones you have, but the Weathertech ones are my suggestion.

They are the universal, flexible, heavy duty/rubber flaps. Any advice guys?

Sorry, can't help you there. i just installed two sets of Ford mudflaps yesterday and they went onto both the FX2 and FX4 perfectly.
