Default FX4 Grill Question

Hey everyone, I have a Silver 09 SCrew XL Model. I have already had the bumpers painted to match, but the huge black grill is killing me. I really like the FX4 grill. I was wondering, is the frame around the grill painted on the XL-type black grill, or is it some kind of fascia that is fixed around the grill, or is it a completely different grill? Close up pics, especially of where the black and paint meet, would be great.

Thanks

By the way, the only reason that I have an XL model is because that is the only f150 available in this country.

I can't answer your question since I don't have my FX4 yet, but I will soon be having an FX4 grill that I will put up for sale on ebay when I get my truck.

I loved the Lariat or XLT chrome grill but just hated the Lariat's wood trim interior. So I'm getting an FX4 with the luxury package and they are ordering a Lariat grill for me and swapping it out. So I will have an extra FX4 grill along with the body coloured molding around it (my truck will be Sterling Grey).

I have absolutely no clue what it would cost to ship it to Qatar but if you are interested in the FX4 grill maybe we can work something out.

Thanks, as long as it weighs less than about 25lbs I can ship it to Texas A&M University and they will forward it to me at no charge. The problem is that your grill will be the wrong color for my truck (mine is brilliant silver).

If it is just simply a frame painted around the black grill, I can get that done here for about 200 bucks (the dealer offered to paint the whole grill for 250, but I think that the whole front being the exact same color would have looked like crap.)

I would just order chrome one (my dad is a parts manager in the states), but chrome would look like crap on a light silver truck.)
