eLocker was not an option for 2010 model year, but they were standard in the FX4 trim. Only FX4 axle ratios available were 3.73 with 18" tires and 4.10 with 20" tires.

Yeah, my bad. The 4.10 eLocker wasn't available until the 2012 model.

Default Axle Code L6

looking at a 2011 Fx4 used for my son. I have axel code L6 and that means elocker. the **** only has a 2H 4H 4L position and than an icon with an x between the rear wheels and a down arrow. I when I pull the **** it comes out in my hand. Does it have to be in 4H or 4L to use the elocker?

If the "****...comes out in my hand" and can't be (somehow) (re)attached, more than likely the switch assembly will need to be replaced.

And Yes, It "Does it have to be in 4H or 4L to use the elocker" to engage the electric locking rear axle.
