Default Fuse?

Since I had 200 views on my last post and only 1 reply I figured I would ask my question a different way. Im looking for a 12volt power source that is not constant and only has power when the key is on. First thing that came to mind was the radio... so I tied into the radio fuse and somehow my angel eyes have power no matter if the key is on or off. I want them to come on when the truck is on and off when the truck is off.

when u turn on the key and turn the key off the radio does stay on until the door is open , maybe that's what you were seeing? if I remember right there is 2 power wires that go to the radio, constant 12v and switched 12v power with the key.

your truck is equipped with a empty fuse spot in the passenger side fuse box that will do what u need.. if u look on your manual, it will be called delayed accessory.. it varies from the different years, but i believe on my 2012 it was fuse #38.. just put an Add a fuse on that spot and go

I think it's # 9 in the fuse box in the engine compartment.

The radio is switched on and off by the ground.

Did you ever get the fuse mentioned in post #3 to work for your needs? I'm looking for an open port to tap into that I can wire the dash 12volt port to so that my radar will turn on and off with the truck.

Yes I did works like it should only has power when the key is on. Post #3 is the answer just pull out your manual to find the right fuse
