Default Fuel Wheels/Tire Setup..Help Newbie Please

Hey guys, new to the forum and have a few questions and also asking for opinions. Before any of you get bothered and say "do a search" trust me I have been online for days and days researching. I know the basics just need some that have more expertise to steer me correctly.

Just got my 2012 Lariat 4WD SCREW and have ordered my AutoSpring 2.5" leveling kit for front with the 3" block for rear. I am aware the 20" wheels that came on the truck are 8.5" wide with a 44mm offset and 6.5 backspace. Truck currently has 275/55r20 Pirelli tires.

I am planning on buying Fuel Throttle or Krank wheels in 20x9 and am wondering if 14mm offset with 5.5in backspacking or 20mm offset with 5.75in backspacing would be best. I don't want them sticking out too far and slinging mud/rocks down side of the truck and I don't want to install big bushwacker fender flares. I know the 20mm offset will keep them tucked in closer but I did not know if the 2.5 leveling kit changes the hub location or anything due to angle changes. I don't mind 1" or so wider than stock so I need to know which would get me closest to that with the leveling kit.

As far as tires go I planned on just jumping up one size to a 275/60r20 (33") tired and wanted to know if this would look too skinny and if anyone recommends anything else. I am afraid a 305/55r20 would be too wide for my liking. And as far as tires go I am looking at Cooper Zeon LTZ, Cooper AT/3, or Terra Grapplers. I know alot of this has been discussed in numerous threads but my head is spinning and I just need some help sorting it out so I can get everything ordered. I appreciate any and all help and opinions..Thank you

I have the fuel octanes 20/9 with 5.75 backspace and +18 offset. They stick out about an 1.5". I love it. No rubbing or issues at all. Tires r 305/55r20. Bilsteins at 2.25".

Thanks for the response and the great pics. That looks perfect! My 20mm backspace should be about exactly the same then. I think I may stick with the 275/60/20 instead of the 305's though..Should protrude just a tad less then..I have same factory flares like that on my lariat.. Any issues with rocks/mud getting slung down side of the truck? Also what tires are those? I can't read the sidewall..

I can't help you out any on the wheels but I can make a suggestion to you for your tire selection. I would highly recommended the Cooper Discover AT3's. They received Consumer Reports #1 rating for an all-terrain tire, have a 55k mile treadware warranty, and have higher ratings is every category compared to the Cooper Zeon LTZ's. The LTZ's are also much louder than the AT3's. I have just recently installed a set of the AT3's (size 275/60r20) on my 2011 Platinum and think they are Great! The speedometer seems to be correct (checked with phone GPS)with this new tire size. Good luck!

Yeah I ran Coopers on my Silverado for years and was pleased with them. I like the look of the LTZ's more than the AT/3 but rather have a tire with better qualities than look. The AT/3 seems to have a rugged sidewall look to it also..

Yea u should b good w those size of tires. The tires do sling crap on side of truck a bit. Lol, I know u said u don't like em, but I just installed some ptm bushwackers 1.5" fender flares today. Covers the width of tire perfectly. The tires r pro comp extreme all terrains, great tires, but pricey
