Default Front end chirping sound when driving

Hi everyone,

My 2014 XLT has recently started making a high pitched chirping sound when driving. It seems to get louder the faster I go and sounds like it’s coming from the front end. It doesn’t always do it though. It seems to start after I’ve been driving 20 minutes or so.

I took it to a mechanic and they couldn’t recreate the sound after driving it for 20 miles. They said the bearings, brakes, and suspension components seemed fine.

The sound is making me lose my mind.

Any ideas on what it could be?

A lot of sounds described that way are belt related.

I had this happen to me could have sworn it was the front end. Turns out it was the emergency brake. Makes a chirp chirp chirp sound and if you cut the wheel one way it will disappear temporarily. Next time it’s making the noise depress the e brake a little and see what happens. I did a lazy fix and backed off on the adjustment and just don’t use the e brake any more. If I do use it the squeak comes back
