Default Fox, Icon or King?

Browsed a bit and most of the threads are a couple years old. I'm interested in your take on which 2.0 or 2.5 system to run. I mostly drive highway but I do get off-road quite a bit. Looking for something that gives me the best of both worlds. If you run a system and have any advice please share comments or pictures. Thanks.

I have the Icon Stage 2 kit on my truck, it is definitely more firm and stable on the road(similar to a sports car) and it handles logging/woods roads and trails very very well. It feels more controlled off-road at speeds compared to stock. My dad has the Boss setup with factory UCA and his is a much nicer on road ride but unsure of off-road performance as he doesn't take it there. Hope this helps. Or better yet buy a few raffle tickets for the Sway a Way setup F150LIFTS.com has going right now. He is a vender on this site

Don't get the fox 2.0s. Mine are still creaking away. And under normal road conditions you probably won't hear them but I leave for work now at 530am when it's still quite and they are very annoying. Going to put up with it until the funds come in to replace with one of the other brands.

Have the ICON 2.5 coilovers and had the ICON 2.0 rear shocks. Definitely firmer than stock but not necessarily in bad way. Way less body roll and the truck feels more planted. Same goes for washboard roads. Expansion joints and sharp bumps can feel a little rough due to ICON's higher spring rate but the truck seems less disturbed by them now. I'm like you where I'm mostly highway use but do go down offroad trails and logging roads quite a bit.

Another one here with ICON 2.5s in the front and Fox 2.0s in the back. I've been very impressed with the ride from these, on and off road.

Honestly, the only perceptible difference at this performance level will be spring rate. The big three are very close in capability and quality. FOX units do make some noise from what I hear but it's just the valves. I don't think I would personally put Boss, Procomp or Bilstein (factory replacement) at the same level.

Once you start getting into longer travel and faster speeds, then the internal differences start becoming more relevant.

Any one (Fox, King, Icon) will allow you to overdrive your stock suspension and will be a significant improvement over factory.

Just ordered icon stage 2 today. New tires as well. Hoping to see at least a moderate change in capability. Stockers were not cutting it on these desert trails. I don't really have concerns about ride. I know it will be stiff. What kind lift up front are you guys getting after the install. I don't really want to crank up the shocks bc I bought them strictly for performance purposes. "From the factory height" seems like a better choice, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for all the input so far. WarSurfer; would Remote Reservoirs be overkill for what I'm trying to accomplish?

I've been eying the icons, and the only reason I want the resi is so I can get the cdc valve for adjustability. Emailed the guys at icon for quite a while and they have great service in that regard

Ive had the Fox 2.5 w/ RR and rear 2.5 w/ PB shocks for almost 50k miles now and i can't think of one thing i don't love about how they perform on or off road. Great shock that has been very resilient to the harsh winters here.
