Fox 2.0 shocks and coil overs all around 1 wk review
#371
I have read through this thread and these seem like a really nice upgrade. No one did answer if they have issues in the canadian cold weather, but I would assume not since fox has shocks found on pretty much every mountain sled
Anyone using these and dropped the front so its only 1" of lift?
Our canadian dollar is sucking poop through a straw right now so does anyone know a canadian dealer selling these for a good price? With shipping and exchange I can't see even the best price from the states being cheap now.

So I want to adjust mine to go a little higher. Has anyone used a strut compressor from say autozone to compress the spring while they are on the truck. I have tried to turn them with a spanner wrench Only and all I achieved was bending my spanner wrench and that way by hand, and yes I had it jacked up.

A spring compressor is a must. Wall mounted is best, but those will work.

I've been running the Fox 2.0 rears for about 3k miles. Def improved the bed bounce but I thought the truck still had an uncomposed feeling. Just put the Fox 2.0 fronts on yesterday that had been on backorder for about 6 weeks.
UNBELIEVABLE. The ride is nothing short of transformational. Far smoother than stock, and much more composed overall. I would say it is LESS harsh over pretty much every surface I could find. The stock FX4 suspension on my truck would dive under braking, jiggle over nearly every road imperfection and wallow. The ride feels very similar to a BMW if I had to compare it.
I had read some reviews earlier about how the rear shocks made the biggest difference, etc. I cannot disagree more, we must be feeling something completely different!
I netted close to 2.5" of lift at the stated 2". I'm planning to drop them a few turns to get about a 0.5" rake. I did feel the shock bottom out hitting speedbumps at about 40mph this AM that I normally take at about 20mph max.
Note: The original Fox directions had the wrong torque specs for the lower bolts into the control arm. They are now noted at the correct 50 ft-lbs vs the original 160 ft-lbs.

fox 2.0 leveling coilovers question
Been doing my research on the fox 2.0 coil overs for a leveling kit. While doing so I've come across various reviews and comments. Some of which saying out of the box the coil overs come preset to 1-1/2 inches of lift. This didn't make sense to me considering online it states it comes out of the box at max ride height of 2 inches.
Could anyone tell me for sure what height they some at ?
Also, I have come across a a fellow f150 owner with fox 2.0's up front that stated his coil overs were set to 2.25 inches, thus causing the shocks to "top out" over large bumps. From my understanding 2 inches was the max.
before I pull the trigger and put these on my 2014 f140 4wd id like to know if the shocks are set to 2" will there be a similar "topping out" issue. I use my truck on the offroad often and that would be a big issue for me.
thanks

Fox claims 2" out of the box, but most of what I've read was over 2" like my experience.

thanks for the quick response!! so I should expect to have to lower them a bit for the best ride quality. I appreciate it and btw your truck looks great.

I found the ride after lowering 4 turns not noticeable different, unless hitting larger potholes. After lowering they don't seem to bottom out as often...but even at the full lift they will ride well.
