Default Found something to like about my 2013.

If you have to have power locks, (which I did not want) I guess this key can't get much better. I was able to active my locks from 50 yrds. Awesome!

Never thought I would see the day lol.

In all seriousness, I didn't know what to think of the keypad on the door at first. Now I absolutely love it and wish my wife's Subaru had one too.

But Lee, then the dreaded lights come on. How do you deal with this problem?

With my system I can unlock my doors AND start my truck from a mile away! Lol

But I'm glad you found something to like!

The range is incredible. I always park in the very back of the parking lots and when I go to the mall, from inside the mall I can lock and remote start my truck. I can barely see it, but I can lock and start it! ;D

I gotta be the one to ask, why would you not want power locks? I realize the idea of its one more thing that could break but I think the convenience out weighs the slim chance of something going wrong.

Well I am glad someone asked. I thought the same thing. Heck, I can't even remember the last vehicle I owned that didn't have remote locks. Oh wait, our '92 LX doesn't have remote locks.

The thing I wish our trucks had is keyless push button start. My wife's Escape has it and I love it. You don't ever have to get the key out of your pocket, not even to lock or unlock the doors or open the hatch. I love that!

Why? I love not having to get the key out of my pocket. Heck, sometimes my wife has the key in her purse still but I am driving.
