Cruise control in hilly areas might not be the best thing to begin with? Both for safety and fuel economy.

I haven't seen much, but it's possible I missed it or haven't found it yet. New to Forscan, and just started using. I have a 2010 F150 SuperCrew Platinum. I would like to make some mods to the truck like activate fog lights for DRLs, reset the keyless entry, etc. Is this possible? If so, anyone have a tutorial for the 2010's?

Thanks,
Doc

Not much of anything can be changed on 09-10 year models. They have a GEM where as the 11-14 and up have a BCM.

I am looking for some as built data for a truck with Sync 1 basic I guess for an FDIM or FCIM not sure the name if it but the display to the radio when you have a base model radio. I want to turn on my compass display. And if possible my AC fan speed. More than anything the compass. I kept my GPSM after removing Sync 1 which was an upgrade I did not original to the truck. Can someone help me out. I think it's just one line of code anyway

EDIT: Although the instructions state 2011-2012 it works for 13 and 14 as well. They discuss using IDS for changing the asbuilt data and this is because it was posted pre-Forscan. Use the values listed.

does this also work with 2009 f150 xlt? or can a keypad even be added? I have acces to an ids and forscan
thanks

11-14 only in order to use the oem key pad. they do sell an add on key pad at https://www.levittownfordparts.com/f...pad-p-439.html that'll work.

09-10 have a GEM, 11-14 and up have a BCM, if you read the keypad installation instructions for IDS it clearly shows you have to go into the BCM to make the changes, this will be the same in Forscan. It may be possible but I wouldn't be able to say how. No one has done much of any experimenting with the older models as far as code changing.

As for tire size changes, I haven't had any luck with 13 or older even using IDS and yes I own my own VCMII. I had to use an SCTx4 programmer to get my settings correct when I went from 30" to 35" tires.

okay I have been searching around on the forum and may have found how to add the key pad to the 09-10 trucks
seems to lines 726-04-01
none keypad - 726-04-01-0234
keypad - 726-04-01-0638

I haven't tried it yet, I need to pull the door apart and plug in a keypad and try and figure out what my factory code could be, from what I read it should be on the GEM. not sure if I can read it after I have changed the as-built lines but I'm going to try, worst case It doesn't work

the tire size I'm not overly concerned about just thought I would do it if I could

I wonder if the PCM Relearn feature would work on changing tire size for 13 and older? I know the 15+ guys have to run that to get everything to work right. I wouldn't be able to try this because my truck programs fine with forscan via the BCM tire line. I did get a DTC for tire size mismatch though (same one 15+ guys get).
