True... and most bug guards look like crap on anything newer than a 10th gen F150.

I like the idea and protection they offer, but I just can't get used to the look.
I had Ford's OEM one on my truck for a total of 3 days, before I couldn't look at it anymore.

Agree, my Ford oem one is sitting in my garage. I do like the look of the AVS aeroskin though...

I don't like the bug deflector look. Takes away from the lines of the front of the truck. I have been eyeing the clear 3M protective film though for some time. I had some nasty chips on the front bumper of my FX4 and some went up onto the hood. Combination of highways (salt and sand) and dirt roads.

I'm not sure if you can get them in smoke or not. I also put on the chrome vent shades made by Putco too. They have the same contour and lines as the shield. I really like them. The lines in the shield almost mimic the grille so at a distance it's hard to even see it.
