I agree. I've always had them, and if bugs start to chip my hood I'll be pissed, but I just can't get into any of the new ones. I do like looks of the the teeny tiny stickon chrome ones....that just stick to the paint, don't cover the upper grill edge, and are otherwise non functional. But I think they'd trap moisture against the hoods edge. So I'm going bare.
LOL Sorry not meaning to laugh but its not the bugs u have to worry about chipping your paint, its rocks.
Had the aero skin ended up coming up on the ends and rubbing my paint off. AVS sent me a new one which I did not ask for they said keep it and sent me the bug shield. Still waiting to hear back if they are paying to repaint my hood. Had to get three quotes from around town and send them in. Said it could take up to Like four months or something like that. Lund/ AVS Awesome customer service

Ha ha no problem. Unless you look at my profile, you would not have known. It seems not many women are on this forum. Or if it is, then I only know a few.
My grill has the PTM surround. I was thinking of getting a grill with the chrome surround, but after adding the AVS deflector I've got all the bling I need on the front!!
