Ford "Quick Lane" vs service department

My Ford Quick Lube story from 2 weeks ago:
Went to my local Ford Dealership and used their "Quick Lane" for the Works, 2 hours later and a finger print laden fender and greasy steering wheel I was finally ready to leave, but before I did, I asked the Service Writer to come out and take a look at my new truck... he just shook his head and said "sorry" he said they use newbies to handle the oil and filter changes and this was the 3rd vehicle he had left a mess, ended up to with a free Works service for me and they had another Tech check to make sure that the oil was filled and the right filter had been used.

I have been going to the quick lane here in Idaho falls since it opened, about two years. they have always done a good job with my vehicles and they are reasonable. That's where I picked up a set of 2013 raptor wheels for 400 bucks installed.

I've always been happy with Quicklane. I take all my cars (even non Fords) there. Often, they have a $10 rebate on the ford owners website. Also, there is an owners advantage card you'll want to sign up for. It gives you something like 5% off each oil change and every fifth oil change is free.
I've found the techs to be more knowledgable, the service better and the price cheaper than one of those 10 minute places. Of course, it does take about an hour. I usually just bring my computer, connect to their free wifi, eat a free cookie and drink some free coffee while I wait. Also, they have a TV in the lobby if you'd rather do that.

best place i have found is at my house. always the right oil and filter. i do use Jiffy Lube to dump my waste oil on occasion. notice when you go to an oil change place all the old drain plugs laying around, they pick up the wrong one and you have a leaking pan.

I'll print out the instructions and take them with me to see if its something they can or will do for me. I'll ask a tech though instead of the receptionist up front if he can do it for an extra tip versus the $68 the service dept guy quoted me.

My experience as well. I take my truck and every other vehicle even non fords to them except my vw because they don't carry any parts or even suitable oil for that matter for it.

Yes, I too would like to try this DRL deal. I have taken my truck to QuickLube since it was new. I wasn't aware they could/would do anything besides oil/tires/batteries.
SchoenFX413: Did you just ask them to do it no problem or have to give them some type of instructions?
