Default Ford "Quick Lane" vs service department

Going in probably this week for my first oil change and the dealer has a separate building they do all of their maintenance work in called the "Quick Lane". I know it's not uncommon practice for them to have separate bays for oil changes and small things, but has anyone dealt with one of these with their oil changes? Are the techs Ford techs or are they Jiffy Lube caliber techs?

I have had great service at the "quick lane" in McKinney. Oil level was right, no filter mess, tires rotated and torqued correctly, and it was fast/cost effective. If you're talking about the one at Bob Tomes in McKinney, I've been real happy.

No this dealer is in Texarkana. The thing that might makey decision is I am wanting DRL's enabled as well, so service dept may get it all this to around.

My local service department has both the regular and quick lane buildings. Both have left me unhappy. There are many Ford dealerships in the Tampa area, time for me to find another one.

Have had great experiences with Anderson Ford in Boerne, TX as far as customer service, but I wouldn't call their fastlane exactly fast. Normally takes around 45 minutes for an oil change.

I like the one at MGM Ford Lincoln in Red Deer. They are quick and cost effective and a million times more thorough than commercial quick lube franchises. Some services are even cheaper. I bring my Dodge work truck there for services as well. Plus they don't use cheap filters like most franchises do. I am very happy with the service and the peace of mind I have knowing everything is good to go. I watch them perform the service and they are all over my truck function testing and even load testing the battery.

I've always been happy with Quicklane. I take all my cars (even non Fords) there. Often, they have a $10 rebate on the ford owners website. Also, there is an owners advantage card you'll want to sign up for. It gives you something like 5% off each oil change and every fifth oil change is free.

I've found the techs to be more knowledgable, the service better and the price cheaper than one of those 10 minute places. Of course, it does take about an hour. I usually just bring my computer, connect to their free wifi, eat a free cookie and drink some free coffee while I wait. Also, they have a TV in the lobby if you'd rather do that.

I think I'll give them a try if they can program my DRL's in the quick lane department.
