Did anybody buy a vehicle recently with the Ford X plan? i'm just wondering what kind of plan it is like how much off and if the payment plans are any different.

i bought my ecoboost Screw on Xplan--was a great deal. BEst price I could get on a ecoboost, plus dealer makes more $, sales guy gets a fixed commission (makes him happy). Xplan price is almost about what dealer invoice is. Plus all rebates apply.

I ordered a loaded 2011 FX4 and just the X-plan saved me over $4k. Plus I got all other dealer incentives & rebates. I was gonna go with the 5.0 but after driving an ecoboost they had on the lot I had to have it. I was an additional $750 but with the X-plan it only came out to $621 on top of what I had already set up.

Ordered a FX2 w/ lux pack, saved about 3k from MSRP. X plan price was 100 above invoice.

The X-plan gives you a best price ($100 over invoice total for F150's). It has nothing to do with rebates or financing plans. Rebates go on top of the best price.

Most can negotiage to invoice w/o the X-plan (or A or Z) now with gas prices rising.

No. If you are eligible for the X-Plan you should have access to the Ford Partner web site to see their FAQ. This is straight from the FAQ:

Pricing Formula
  • X-Plan is a pre-determined price based on dealer invoice or A-Plan price depending on brand. The X-Plan price is noted on the dealer invoice.
X-Plan

Ford
Dealer Invoice - (0.4% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee* (see sample invoice)
Lincoln
Dealer Invoice + (0.6% * Dealer Invoice) + Administration Fee* (see sample invoice)

*$275 Administration Fee.

You can find the FAQ at:

In my opinion, if you're buying outright you're better off with an X-plan pin number, but if you're trading in something, it's a waste of time.
