Whats the trick to getting the front ford emblem off the grill besides taking the cheap nuts off?

Its been a little while, but theres a tab I believe holding in each post, once you remove the plastics nuts! Lift the tabs, and should come right off!

Todd is right. Take a small flat head. And bend the tab up gently. One side at a time. Easier if you have someone hold the hood down for you.

Not cheap piece of **** parts, just have a noob taking parts off that wasn't designed to be taken off by Jo blow.

The pin that pushes through is notched to hold it, I can see how you didn't see it it's hidden by the tab. If you would have used a small flattip to pull the tab up a bit it would have come loose, one side at a time. If you contact the seller on this oval he also carries colored ovals with the nuts OEM. I bought a carbon one from him on my 2011.
