I just bought the premium care plan for my 09 FX4. 7yr 75k with first day rental for $1215. The dealer quoted $1500 for the same plan because I know them. The same plan was $1900 for any off the street. $1215 should more than cover the hard shifting 6sp if it ever goes out.

Well, after about a week of researching Ford Extended Warranties,
I purchased one.
I was checking prices on about four sites. These are NOT third party warranties. These are actual FORD dealers selling the actual FORD ESP online.
Obviously, the dealer where you purchased your truck/car at tries to soak you with an outlandish price on an extended warranty.
I've learned alot. MY dealer was going to sell it for $1250, then admitted it cost him 1,075 . . . . BUT, later found the cheapest price of $665!!!!!
that is a HUGE difference!!
Get, this FORD (on the website) wanted $1,470!!!
Goes to show you the HUGE, tremendous markup on these things.
I settled on the 72 month / 75,000 miles PREMIUM CARE ESP.
That effectively fits my driving patterns and basically doubles my factory warranty. That's less than $200 a year for coverage. I'm happy!!
If you want to research one for yours, check here, they have the lowest rates....

Make SURE its a GENUINE FORD ESP!! Usually these are only sold by dealers. Dealers can sell them online (where I bought mine).
First, verify the place you want to buy the warranty is a FORD DEALER.
Second, verify the warranty is an actual FORD ESP (should be IF its a Ford dealer.
Dealers can sell the warranty's for what they want to. If they say they can't they're bullshi**ing you!! My dealer insisted he could not sell it for less than $1040 I believe it was.......
The dealer I brought mine from was Harold Zeigler in Michigan. It was $665.00. I received a GENUINE FORD CONTRACT, and I have ALREADY verified that my ESP was active and in the FORD SYSTEM. Any dealer can pull up my information.
DO NOT BUY A THIRD PARTY WARRANTY ! ! !
You can get these ESP FORD WARRANTY's cheaper online. you can see I saved about $400!!!!!
Any more questions, I'd be glad to share my experiences.

Im interested in picking up an ESP Program from one of these vendors listed on this thread. I mentioned it to the dealer I bought my 2011 Lariat from, to see if he could match or come close. He mentioned he couldn't, and that there are problems buying from these vendors. Just to fully understand these programs.... there are no differences as long as it is a verifiable Ford ESP warranty and can be used at any Ford dealership... The only difference is the price..? To me I can save over a $1000 buying online which is too good to pass up. Any info greatly appreciated please PM me or continue with this post. Thanks

This is a great company to deal with. I bought a warranty from them for my E55 AMG. Unbelievable plan and price. They were first class.

From my understanding (at least what several FL dealers have told me) the reason they do this is because the state of Florida makes it illegal for any car dealer to make a profit (charge more than MSRP) on extended warranties and gap insurance. However, the larger the volume of sales of any item (including extended warranties) the larger the "rebate" from the manufacturer to the dealer. They still make a profit if they do not pass on the rebate to the customer, and most of them don't, since Ford fixes the "MSRP", and they all say that they can't make a profit from it.
My brother in law works for a major Toyota dealer in NH, and sells tons of extended warranties on-line, and through numerous forums. Due to the sheer number he sells, he can purchase them from Toyota for much less than most dealers can. He passes that savings on to the consumers and then sells more. It's a self perpetuating machine, and he loves it. His dealership only makes about $50 per warranty, and undercuts everyone while doing it.

Premium Maintenance Plan is just that, a Maintenance Plan, that covers all scheduled maintenance according to your vehicles plan.
Premium Care plan is an ESP (extended service plan) that covers 500+ key components for what ever duration you select.
