Ford Emblems

Tailgate: I grabbed a hair dryer and a rubber spatula from the kitchen. I held the blow dryer around the emblem and slowly slid the spatula between the emblem and body. Slowly work around and it will come right off. I then used goo off to clean up the excess tape left on the tailgate.
Grille: the grill has two nuts on the back that you can see when you lift the hood. Remove those first. Then comes the tricky part. There are 2 pins on the back of the emblem that are snapped in. I have read hear people actually being able to get them out without snapping them but not many people have. I eventually used a pair of pliers and snapped the pin because I was using a new emblem anyway. If the pin does get snapped off some 3M double sided tape will do the job of holding the grille emblem on. Just. Ensure to clean the spot well before applying.

I just took mine of my12 fx4 and blacked in out. Two nuts off the back and used a small flat head screw driver and lift the long tab away from the stud and pull on the emblem and it shuold start to come lose. do this on the other side back and forth till it pops out. no breakage.
