Default Folding Bed Covers

Sorry to troll on this thread, but I brought my father-in-law to the dark side. He just bought a 2012 F150 Lariat SCREW 2x4. His main goal for this truck is (other than his daily driver) for tailgating during football and baseball season here in ATL. He already has an appointment for a spray-in bed liner (either line-x or the Ford factory)...my question is advice on the best folding bed covers. I'm a novice to this accessory, I've owned nothing but 4x4 so I've never had a use. He's not concerned with weight on the cover, we don't experience much snow or heavy ice nor extreme heat. He just wants an overall, well made cover that will be sturdy for security but fold back at least 75% if he needs to haul something. I've searched the threads and saw some ideas...but really want some responses on what y'all experienced with the 09+ with the short beds. ( I believe it's 5.5ft?) If I've missed a sticky or specific thread, I'm sorry...I'm on the iPhone app. Thanks y'all!

I have an Advantage Torza Top tri-fold cover. Had one on my last truck also and loved it! Got it from real trucks.com for about $300 shipped with an online coupon. The best part is, it takes all of 2 minutes to put on or take off.

"Oh sh*t! Somebody pulled my soft cover off while I was in the game and stole my beer" - Don't be that guy.

I have the OEM cover from ford that folds into 3 prices. Attaches with clips at the end to allow you to keep it open if need be. Does the trick, ,easy to open and close and remove, looks great, sturdy and not expensive. Can't find 1 complaint about it

Get the Solid Fold. It's more secure than most of the other covers but also holds more weight. That might not be a huge deal for snow and stuff but we sit on mine all the time. You can't sit three people on a BakFlip - that's for sure.

There is another active thread on tonneaus as well, but for me,
I have had the Extang Trifecta on my past 3 trucks, they install or deinstall in about 5 minutes, work in any kind of weather and are versatile, well-made.

Your actual tarp is not solid, just the 3 bars across are solid....right?
