Default fold down seat/console modification on 2013 STX

Question about fold down seat.

I have a 2013 STX regular cab. The fold down armrest has no console. Can this (BL3Z-18644A22-AB) console lid be put on my armrest to upgrade to a XLT? ...or is there more to it?

I'm anxious, as I would like to put Katzkin seat covers on it. It is extremely awkward to put the drinks on the floor level...scraping the center headrest every time.

i'd like to know this too... so far, i've just pulled that center head rest off of the jump-seat to make it easier to get to the slide out cup holders.

I've never thought about just switching the lids lol. But I'm pretty sure that wont work.
You would need to get the whole center console to replace the entire jump seat.
There are 4 bolts holding it in.

I've done this modification on my 04 and have been loving it ever since.

looking at the parts diagrams, it looks possible to just swap the upper portion of the seat. it's not very cost effective though.

Thanks for moving to the correct place! I realized the error of my ways only too late.

Tommie Vaughn Ford got me an STX lid assembly to try this afternoon. The STX (and XLT?) Cushion is not rectangular. The lid is. No go.

I did this mod on my XL. Not sure what the difference in the stx would be. Had to cut one of the supports in the seat so the storage part would fit in ok. Also had to trim the foam and the fabric and it looked like stock. I'll try to post a pick tomorrow so you can see if there is a difference in yours. Not sure of the part number I ordered. It was a while ago.

you have to replace the whole seat back, not just the lid.

I gave up and went ahead and ordered Katzkin leather seat covers yesterday evening, and decided to just remove the headrest on the center section (thank you Xorak). Decided it wasn't that big an issue. Like my MotoGuzzis, the Ford will make me adapt.

I'll post the pics of the leather seat when I get it (a couple weeks). Basically, dark charcoal to match the dash, door panels, and steering wheel, with perforated inserts and gray double stitching. ala factory Ford.
