Default fog light issue? 9145??

Hey everyone, I tried doing a search on this particular topic but all I could find was questions about HID lighting issues. This is a little different. I am considering putting into my fog lights 9145 yellow bulbs for winter driving. I know stock these are (I believe) 9140 bulbs. Will the wattage upgrade to a 9145 have any negative effects on the housing? I know I have read somewhere that it would be too hot and burn up the housing. It is definiteley not worth it to me to replace the bulbs if this will happen, so my question is - will 10 extra watts really make that big of a difference in heat?

thanks everyone

While no subject matter expert, I have been looking into this as well,

From what I have seen, along the HID posts, there was only a 5w (40w - 45w) difference between the 9140 and 9145. (I may be off on this but I cant use the search at this time)

I have not seen where anyone had negative impacts of switching to the 9145s, whereas a lot of people have had issues upping to the 9005 bulbs (Melted housings, discoloration etc.)

EDIT*** OK. misread your post. You are not looking for HID fogs. (Although you could go yellow (3000k)) So the wattage could be different. Sorry for the misread

no worries! I did find some 35W yellow 9145 bulbs. I'm assuming they are the same base as the 9140 bulbs though.
