Ok I picked up the truck yesterday and everything is complete. My only concern is that I HOPE I never have any leaks because of this. I almost think adding a weather bead around the window would make me feel better, but we shall see.

Part # 9L3Z-15044N32 Description: Seal

They Sublet to a company 1st Class Auto Glass.

New Foam strip is 3 times the width as the old one I was told.

Tape on both sides to make sure it stays in place for 24 hours?

I will continue to take my truck back to the dealer that I bought it from but I will express my concern with detail. I dropped the truck off Clean as a whistle inside and out only to get it back dirty and tons of little rubber pieces from what I can only imagine was the old strip littered inside the truck. A vac and 5 min is all they needed to win me over.

Anyway I'll put a fork in this topic.

I know what you mean. My last truck (F-250) needed the windshield replaced. I used Safelight and the dude removing the windshield left black rubber all over the inside. Worst part is the guy didn't install the windshield right and it leaked in the bottom lower corner. They had to come out and fix it and again I wasn't real happy because they broke several of those little push pin things that hold the cowl on below the wipers. The installer didn't have any replacements and I had to go buy some at Autozone myself. I hate having a windshield replaced due to all the problems that can arise.

And I'll never let a dealer wash any of my vehicles. Have you seen the brushes and dirty buckets of water they use? The guy washing vehicles is only making minimum wage. Do you think he really gives a hoot about your vehicle?

I just bought my FX2 SCREW a month ago, and I have noticed it as well. In fact it has been creeping since I bought it. I thought it had something to do with the reverse sensing system that was installed. I will bring it to thier attention when I bring it in for my first service.

Does anyone know what purpose it serves??? I dont think it is a crucial part and will just shove it back down if it happens to mine! I would rather do that than have my windshield replaced or the dash torn apart for a piece of foam. I have had too many bad expirences with replacment windshields.
