Default Flowmaster mufflers on 5.0

Okay so this thread is for everyone who has or had a flowmaster muffler.
I already know everyone's opinions on FM mufflers...some people hate em ...some people love em

this is for the guys who love em!

I'm trying to decide between:
- Super 44
-40 series
-Super 40

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/?page_id=10995

I will be doing stainless...SIDO...dual rear exits (probably get some FM rolled 3" tips")
and also removing the resonator
i just want to know the differences between the 3 choices...

I assume the Super 44 is the loudest?
which one do you guys have and what did you like about it..and what made you choose over the other options...

links to sound clips of your truck are always a plus

oh...and DONT bother posting about how much you hate FM or how much you love your magnaflow or borla exhaust....please

I don't have Flowmasters on my 5.0 now, but will say I've always preferred the sound of original 40 series over the "super" series. The super series are deep and airy sounding to me (hope that makes sense) where as the 40 series has more rumble and less hollow (once again, hope that makes sense).

Also, if you're removing the factory resonator, I may run a 50 series instead. Less drone.

FWIW

I run a single HD 50 muffler on my 6.2. Dual in single out.

It has a low, mellow idle, and not super loud under acceleration, no drone.

Here's a video of my Muffler delete.
I didn't just cut it off, I had a shop do it, and re-route the exhaust to the rear of the truck so that it would be nice. I also kept the stock resonator. Ended up costing me somewhere between $30 and $50.
I am very pleased with the sound.
Just a cheaper alternative to the FM

Not sure how it would sound on the 5.0, but I ran a 10 series single chamber flowmaster on my 2001 dodge ram 5.9. It was loud, sounded good, but tons of drone at freeway speeds.

If you keep the stock resonator there is no drone. It's like a friggin muffler in itself

I would like to hear that from the outside now that we have heard it from inside the cab.

Yea, If I did my N/A setup again I'd do the same thing just with two resonators because it's a dual setup.

I have the Afe Mach Force XP on my truck now. Thinking about putting the Flowmaster on but kinda thinking against it.
