Default Floor consoles

I am new to the forums and am sure this has been asked a thousand times, but I have the XLT 2011 with the jump seat and would like to swap it out for a floor console. I have searched and searched and cannot seem to find a definitive answer on whether the consoles from 2009 and up are bolt in for the 2011. The parts schematics seem close but not exact and wondered if anyone might shed some light. There are a few on eBay but some indicate 2008/9 while other say 2009+ and look identical to one another. Any information would be great. Thanks!

Here are 2 of the best consoles you will find on the internet.

The first one is grey in color, and I think suits your 2011 the best because it already has the bolt hole drilled out and in the right position.

The second one can be modified to fit the 2011, but you will have to drill holes in the side to properly mount it into your truck. So it is just another added step to installing it.

I personally ordered one off of eBay about 3 days ago and should be receiving it in the mail this Thursday. It's not quite the right color, so I ordered the approriate color panels from Tascaparts.com, and the rest I am going to paint a semi-gloss black to match my black floors. The other parts are grey.

Yeah I have been watching the first one on eBay and asked if he knew whether it would bolt right in but he never responded. Also his buy it now price is crazy high as Tasca has it brand new for 486.00. Thanks for the info. I would hate to buy one and find out I need to do crazy work to get it to work.

Actually I contacted Tascaparts.com about that, and turns out that $486 is just for the base, that doesn't include all the other parts needed to assemble the entire console. He said it would probably be about $800 - $1000 for all the parts and you would need to assemble it yourself.

As for the eBay route, you will have to put some work into a console, but your saving a boat load of money.

Not to mention, at least if you have to paint yours, you can paint it what ever color you want.

The only problem WE may run into, is that on some 2011's, there are no pre-drilled holes for the consoles. So we may have to drill a pilot hole for our new consoles on the mounting bracket that is attached to the vehicle. Not really a big deal, just another step in the work process.

It's a soft aluminum metal, so a nice size pilot hole should do just fine and then the new bolts should thread themselves.

I haven't removed my seat yet, so time will tell. I will let you know how my install goes. I'm praying for a smooth one!

Oh man. Didn't realize the price difference. 1000.00 is a lot of money for a console. Please do let me know how your install goes as I would be interested in how easy or difficult it turns out to be. Thanks a ton for the info!
