Default Flex fuel

Does anyone run E85 fuel in their Flex Fuel truck? Any performance or other issues?

Increase in performance, decrease in mpg. If it's 20% cheaper than gas you break even on cost per mile.

I know that you asked specifically about flex fuel trucks.....but for the EB owners out there who have not read their owner's manuals....keep in mind that Ford prohibits using flex fuel in the EB.....just a thought....

That's because you need special fuel lines and gaskets than non flex fuel vehicles don't have because ethanol eats some types of rubber over time. I know people with non flex fuel vehicles that have ran a tank of it on a long trip and then filled up with regular again and never had a problem but I wouldn't let it sit in there for any length of time. They could make a flex fuel ecoboost but it would make it cost more and its already is the most expensive engine which is why they don't.

Its 2395 more than the 5.0 and probably 4000 more than the 3.7. Not many people are putting 6.2s in f150s except limited and Harleys so I didn't really count the 6.2, my bad.

I know what you mean.....there is NO way to buy real gas anymore, anywhere in the great Northwest. I hate the politics behind ethanol almost as much as I hate the decreased mpg and performance.....
