Default Flex Fuel

Has anybody actually run ethanol or any other flex fuel in their truck?
I’d be curious how the engine reacts to it.

Not sure I would be willing to ever use it myself though

I've been running mine on E85 for a little over 6,000 miles. Other than a few mpg's less everything is normal with no other noticeable differences.

my 5.4L has noticeably more power when running e85. But yes, about 20% or so less MPG than gas.

I tried it for about 2 tanks. didn't notice any difference in power,
and about a 5mpg decrease in economy.

Here, its only about 25 cents cheaper, so sort of defeats the purpose.

went back to regular ole gas (10%eth).

I filled up on E-85 once I was almost completely empty. I didn't notice any difference in power, but I did notice a 25% drop in MPG.

With the current gas prices, it's cheaper to run regular 87 octane, so I switched back.
